The United Nations is calling for everyone
to participate in the planning of the future development goals. Thirteen years
after the formulation of the Millennium
Development Goals, citizens around the world are engaged in shaping the
vision of our world beyond 2015. The global consultations led by various
stakeholders – governments, civil society organizations, United Nations and
other partners – have already brought together hundreds of thousands of people
who have shared their views and expertise.
To date, more than 500 online volunteers
have supported the activities of UNV, other UN agencies and civil society
organizations involved in facilitating dialogue around the future goals. Read
about how online volunteers’ contributions help foster global inclusive
participation and shape a common vision for the future. If you are interested
in participating, opportunities are regularly posted by diverse organizations.
Visit the Opportunity Search on their website and enter ‘2015’ in the keyword
search field to find opportunities and apply.
Join the consultations online and have your
voice heard by voting
in the MY World survey, the UN and partners’ survey on your priorities for
a better world. Results will be shared with world leaders in setting the next
global development agenda.
